Weight-Loss Goal for the Week: 1 pound
Actual Weight Lost: 3.6 pounds
Total Weight Loss to Date: 16 pounds
thoughts: I was SUPER HAPPY to see this! Last week I hadn't lost any weight, and the week before that I had only lost half a pound. So needless to say I was feeling kinda down and discouraged, but this totally put be right back on top! I just have to remember that weight loss is called a journey for a reason, it's not easy and it probably never will be. I just need to remind myself of that every single day and when times get tough I have to dust myself off and try to do better. Can't wait to see what next week brings!

Song of the Week: "Graduation (Friends Forever)" by Vitamin C
Cheesy, I know but hey...with graduation being a mere six days away (SIX DAYS!!!!) I feel as though it's appropriate. Some may argue that it only works for high school but you know what? Graduation is graduation. The feelings are the same no matter what so phooey on you if you think this doesn't fit! So anyway....here ya go, enjoy!

M.I.A.
I would like to apologize for being M.I.A. lately. This was my last week of school so things have been pretty busy for me. I'll try to make some posts here and there over the next few days but I have both of my finals next Wednesday so I'll be busy with preparing for those and getting ready for graduation too. Oh, and I haven't been doing any Weigh-In Wednesday posts because in the last two weeks I've only lost 1/2 a pound...how frustrating!! But regardless of what I lose this upcoming week, I'll do a post for sure. But now it's time for me to sign off, I have much to do! I'll leave you with MIA's song "Paper Planes" (cuz I've been M.I.A. ....get it?)

Song of the Week: "Fatlip" by Sum 41
I was listening to this song a couple weeks ago for the first time since high school, I liked it a lot then and I still like it now. Here you go.
Enjoy :) I'll try to have another post today, but I can't really promise anything. With the end of the school year and graduation approaching, crunch time has finally arrived.

Oh, the places you can bang...
So I am currently sitting with my friend Mandi and somehow we got on the topic of places where you can have sexual relations with another person. That led to us deciding to collaborate on a poem about the places you can bang and we decided to write it Dr. Seuss Style. Now, the language can get rather..."coarse" shall we say so I'm going to leave it after the break so that you don't have to read it if you don't want to. You have been warned....

Video For Fun: "E.T." by Katy Perry feat. Kanye West
Well I was browsing itunes and I happened to see that Katy Perry's song "E.T." was the number one song on there. Now, I like this song and to sort of "celebrate" it being in the number one spot I thought I would share the music video with you all. I'm not really sure how I feel about it, but here it is.
What do you guys think about it? Pretty....interesting, right? Well anywho, I'm off to bed. Another post is coming tomorrow in addition to that surprise that was supposed to happen today but didn't. Sleep well my dear imaginary readers!

What's Behind Door Number 3?
So a couple of days ago I was watching a Sex & The City episode where they were discussing the topic of threesomes. Charlotte's boyfriend wanted her to have one, Samantha was talking about how great they were, Carrie was shocked to hear Mr. Big had one with his ex-wife when they were married and Miranda felt like her friends didn't find her attractive enough for one (long story...you should try to find the episode online to appreciate that last bit)
Anyway it got me to thinking, what is it about the number 3 that people enjoy so much? I mean look at it: The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Amigos, The Three Musketeers even Batman and Robin ended up adding Batgirl into the mix. Death usually comes in threes..it's kinda mind boggling. Not to mention the fact that, just like the characters in Sex & The City, people go crazy over threesomes. Which is something I would like more insight on because frankly, I don't see the appeal. However, my friend Mandi pointed out an exception to this whole "three" rule: three girls cannot live together. Four can, but three cannot. I find that last little tidbit to be especially interesting and something that I want to expand upon tomorrow in my special surprise for the blog.
So dear readers, why do you think that the number 3 has such a significance? I for the life of me cannot figure it out, but maybe there's somebody out there who has more insight into this situation than I do. If you do, please enlighten the rest of us by posting something in the comments section below.

Song of the Week: "Unpretty" by TLC
So this week's song of the week is a song about self-image. I was listening to my ipod on shuffle a few days ago and this came on and I decided that this would be the perfect song to have for SOTW. TLC released this song as a message of empowerment to their female fans, but honestly I think that this song can work for anybody. Hope you enjoy it!
I have another post planned for later on today...just gotta get some school work out of the way first. Annnnd I have a nifty little something planned for tomorrow if all goes the way I hope it does!

What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?
Sooo tonight on the Bio channel they had a documentary on the movie "Scream". Now anybody who knows me knows that I love not only that first movie, but the series as a whole. The first "Scream" movie was the first scary movie that I ever watched...or at least, the first one that I remember watching. It was what led to my love of movies like "Halloween" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". There's just something about it that stands out to me, maybe because in a way it's a lot more realistic than other horror movies, which makes it almost kind of scarier in a way. Anyway, I've always liked the movies for as long as I can remember and I am super excited for Scream 4 to be released (8 days now!) so when I saw that this documentary was on, I had to watch. It was interesting, talking about the origins of the movie as well as the casting, filming and production processes. It also talked about various obstacles that it went through, with certain snares coming up about filming locations, trouble from the MPAA's rating of the film to the fact that some people were panning it before it was even released in theatres. It also discussed how it was a slow roll, but once word of mouth got spread around more and more people started to go see the movie, allowing it to bring in $103 million and breathe new life into the horror/slasher genre. They'll be playing reruns on the Bio channel for the next few days so I highly encourage you to check it out if you're a "Scream" fan. But if you're not a "Scream" fan, do you like scary movies at all? If so, what's your favorite? Share in the comments! And now, I'll leave you with a preview of Scream 4. Go see it when it comes out, it's gonna be good!
Hungry Like The Wolf...
This post is not about the popular 80s song by Duran Duran, sorry to disappoint all of you hopefuls out there. No, this post is dedicated to the genius that is known as Hungry Girl. What is Hungry Girl, you ask? Well there's a website (which you can access at the side on my list of sites to visit...or just click here if you don't feel like scrolling) and you can sign up for the free newsletter where you'll receive tips, tricks and advice for healthier eating. But she also has a line of cookbooks! I recently picked up her 300 Under 300 cookbook after borrowing her 200 under 200 book from a friend. I fell in love with the recipes I made from the borrowed book and the recipes in the book I have look absolutely WONDERFUL. I've already made one and it was delicious! This woman is seriously a genius in the kitchen, she makes eating healthy delicious and fun. I will be doing posts in the coming days on the recipes I've made along with links to her books. I highly suggest you check out the site and see what she's all about, you won't be sorry!
And because I feel a little bad for misleading you with my title.....enjoy :)
No, it's not an official music video but I can't always find one for every song I post....don't judge!
3 1/2 Weeks...
The original title of this blog post was to be "4 weeks" as I had attempted to start it last Saturday. Well obviously that didn't happen, but now that I have my own laptop (thanks, mom!) I'll be able to churn out all of the blog entries that I promise to you, my faithful readers, without anything getting in the way.
On a quick side note I'd like to say that I just started watching reruns of Sex & The City on the Style channel. I have to say that I quite like it, much more than I thought I was ever going to. The only drawback is that the language and whatnot is all edited out. I'd love it if someone could let me know where I could see them online in their original form. So, if anybody knows please share the knowledge in the comments section!!
Okay, so back to the topic at hand. In a mere 3 1/2 weeks I will be an official college graduate. Yay me....right? I mean, graduating from college is a good thing isn't it? Part of me says yeah, it totally is! But then there's the slightly cynical side of me that says yeah....I've worked my ass off for the last six years and for what? For a piece of paper that may or may not get me a slightly better job or a slightly better salary than some snot-nosed 18 year old who decided to just work right out of high school? What a great accomplishment. More often than not, the cynical side stays quiet. Because I really am excited (and nervous) about the impending graduation. But sometimes that pesky little voice does pop into my head, making me wonder if it was really all worth it. I mean yeah, I'm glad I made the friends I have and had the experiences I did, but did going to college really give me a leg up? I'm 99% sure it will, but that pesky 1% is still sticking around.
I guess I'll find out in 3 1/2 weeks.

Weigh-In Wednesday
Goal for the Week: 2 pounds
Actual Weight Loss: 1.6 pounds
Total Weight Loss So Far: 11.8 pounds
Thoughts: I'm pretty darn happy with it! Yeah, I would have liked it to be more I'm not gonna lie. But the most important thing to me is that I am staying consistent with the weight loss. The last time I lost 3.4 pounds (my first weigh in) I lost 1.5 pounds the following week, so it looks like I'm developing a pattern. If I'm right in assuming that, I should be looking at a loss of somewhere around exactly two pounds next week. I guess we'll see how it goes!

Song of the Week: "What the Hell" by Avril Lavigne
Whoops! I totally got mixed up on my days of the week and forgot that yesterday was Sunday. So the song of the week is a tad belated, and I apologize for that. This week it's Avril Lavigne's new song "What the Hell". I love this song, I think it's so fun and I wanted to share it with you all. Enjoy!

Cut, Hut, Nut, Rut
I'm in a rut. Especially with this blog. I'm trying to think of things to write about and it's just not coming to me at the moment. I definitely need some inspiration. Having said that, I do have one entry I plan on working on within the next couple of days but beyond that....I got nothin'. I'm sure something will come to me soon, but I think I just need to clear my head.
On a side note, did anybody get any good pranks pulled on them today? Or did you pull a good prank on someone else? Feel free to share in the comments section!
