3 1/2 Weeks...

The original title of this blog post was to be "4 weeks" as I had attempted to start it last Saturday.  Well obviously that didn't happen, but now that I have my own laptop (thanks, mom!) I'll be able to churn out all of the blog entries that I promise to you, my faithful readers, without anything getting in the way.

On a quick side note I'd like to say that I just started watching reruns of Sex & The City on the Style channel.  I have to say that I quite like it, much more than I thought I was ever going to.  The only drawback is that the language and whatnot is all edited out.  I'd love it if someone could let me know where I could see them online in their original form.  So, if anybody knows please share the knowledge in the comments section!!

Okay, so back to the topic at hand.  In a mere 3 1/2 weeks I will be an official college graduate.  Yay me....right?  I mean, graduating from college is a good thing isn't it?  Part of me says yeah, it totally is!  But then there's the slightly cynical side of me that says yeah....I've worked my ass off for the last six years and for what?  For a piece of paper that may or may not get me a slightly better job or a slightly better salary than some snot-nosed 18 year old who decided to just work right out of high school?  What a great accomplishment.  More often than not, the cynical side stays quiet.  Because I really am excited (and nervous) about the impending graduation.  But sometimes that pesky little voice does pop into my head, making me wonder if it was really all worth it.  I mean yeah, I'm glad I made the friends I have and had the experiences I did, but did going to college really give me a leg up?  I'm 99% sure it will, but that pesky 1% is still sticking around.

I guess I'll find out in 3 1/2 weeks.
