So a couple of days ago I was watching a Sex & The City episode where they were discussing the topic of threesomes. Charlotte's boyfriend wanted her to have one, Samantha was talking about how great they were, Carrie was shocked to hear Mr. Big had one with his ex-wife when they were married and Miranda felt like her friends didn't find her attractive enough for one (long story...you should try to find the episode online to appreciate that last bit)
Anyway it got me to thinking, what is it about the number 3 that people enjoy so much? I mean look at it: The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Amigos, The Three Musketeers even Batman and Robin ended up adding Batgirl into the mix. Death usually comes in threes..it's kinda mind boggling. Not to mention the fact that, just like the characters in Sex & The City, people go crazy over threesomes. Which is something I would like more insight on because frankly, I don't see the appeal. However, my friend Mandi pointed out an exception to this whole "three" rule: three girls cannot live together. Four can, but three cannot. I find that last little tidbit to be especially interesting and something that I want to expand upon tomorrow in my special surprise for the blog.
So dear readers, why do you think that the number 3 has such a significance? I for the life of me cannot figure it out, but maybe there's somebody out there who has more insight into this situation than I do. If you do, please enlighten the rest of us by posting something in the comments section below.
We can do the special surprise tomorrow!! I'm really looking forward to it! :) I have LOT'S of experience with living with three girls, and it never ends pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it too!! It should be a fun little venture, and I hope that the readers respond to it. Also, if you would be so kind as to give me a tutorial on that 8 tracks website tomorrow I'd greatly appreciate it. I need to get my stuff together so I can get that first playlist cranked out.
